Appleton - Wanted: A small piece of your land to put my 12' yurt on till spring.

I recently bought a 12' diameter yurt and moved into a small communal-type group. Unfortunately the landowners decided they don't want to form a community and are selling their land ASAP. This leaves me in a bad situation. I'm hoping someone out there has extra land and wouldn't mind a tenant, I don't need much. My needs: Bathroom/shower. (Shared is fine) Water of some form. (Not piped to my yurt, just so I can fill a couple bottles for drinking, etc.) Power, I have a 12g 100' extension cord that works nicely, I use about 1000 watts. (I have an in-line meter to track my usage) Access to a kitchen and a little space in a fridge would be nice, but not required. The yurt works best on seven concrete footers sunk around 4-6 inches into the ground (Which I would remove and fill the holes when I left), but I can put it on large paving stones if you would like. I'm on a fixed income of 600$ a month right now until I find a place to move to, at which time I'm sure I could find general labor for income if nothing else. (I am completely open on price, but i'm hoping to find something around 200$ a month) Either way i'm not a lazy bum, heh. Currently i'm in Washington State but i'll be moving to Wisconsin around November 16th to 19th. (I have some family living in the area) I have a full-size truck and a 4x8 trailer that I would be happy to allow the use of. I know alot of odd skills and i'm a good handyman as well. (I would love to find a small ecovillage again, but i'm not counting on it) I'm 34, male, and don't drink/smoke/do drugs. I can also cook and clean as required. Asheville - couple, moving from Colorado and looking DESPERATELY!

Our situation is now a sad one. My girlfriend Meghan and I had been living here in beautiful Telluride, Colorado with our amazingly wonderful 2 year-old dog, Chance, when we decided to move to Asheville to be closer to Meghan's family. Then, late Tuesday night we suffered a horrible loss when Chance was hit by a car and died in my arms. So, now we are even more determined and desperate than ever to get out of here. This was his town, and everyone here knew and loved him. Now, everything we see reminds us of him, and everywhere we look we see him there. We laid him to rest in one of his many favorite places up in the mountains and built him a little memorial, and now it's time to go. So, we are leaving Colorado today and will make a short stop in Illinois to visit my mother, then on to Asheville. We might go to Mooresville to see Meghan's family, but we will be in that area within 5 or 6 days and will be seeking affordable housing for the two of us and, God willing, another pup someday. We are both very easy going and laid back, and we don't need much -- just a place lay our heads at night. Meghan is 26 and I am 34 -- both of us are hard working, but also like to have fun; clean, quiet and respectful; non-tobacco-smoking nor hard drinkers. When we're not working we like to spend most of our time outdoors -- hiking, camping, rock climbing, snowboarding, etc. We both went to college and willhave no problem finding work and paying our bills.
